The Bold Rarity of Triplo Strato
Nowadays, we are used to seeing Giallo Triplo Strato across many Ferraris. However, back in the era of the 599 GTO it was far from common — an extracampionario option that few owners selected. This likely explains why, among the very few yellow GTOs tracked so far, almost all are in Giallo Modena. Within the registry, this remains the only confirmed example in Triplo Strato, although the declared production of 599 units has not yet been fully tracked, a note that underlines both the rarity of the color and the ongoing curatorial work of the registry itself.
Most of the 599 GTOs found in yellow feature the brighter, more straightforward Modena shade. By contrast, Triplo Strato adds depth, intensity, and a metallic complexity that amplifies the car’s presence — making this specification stand out as one of the most striking interpretations of the GTO.
Note on Photography: For this registry entry we selected only a limited set of images, focusing on those that highlight the car’s configuration. To explore the complete photo service by Romans International, please visit the official auction listing here.
