1930 • TARGA FLORIO
THE PRE-WAR BENCHMARK
A tribute to the machine that shaped pre-war Grand Prix racing.
The Alfa Romeo P2 is one of the most important racing machines ever built — a masterpiece of Vittorio Jano’s engineering and a defining symbol of early Grand Prix competition.
This curated Still Motion collection explores the P2 in its 1930 Targa Florio configuration through three photographic “Acts,” each revealing a different layer of its mechanical character: the vertical spare wheel recessed into the tank, the full body seen in pure balance, and the exposed side vents shaped by hand to keep the straight-eight alive under brutal heat.
Then complete the trilogy.
